When we talk about cafes, we’re usually just chasing that perfect cup, right? A place to sit, relax, and enjoy the coffee. But what if you could find more? A whole community and experience, beyond the brew itself? Today, I’d like to introduce you to one of my absolute favorite cafes in Sanur.
Located right in the heart of Sanur, Café Bloom truly is one of a kind. Not only do they serve amazing coffee, but it’s also a heartwarming community space, a beautifully decorated retreat, and a calming sanctuary that genuinely feels like home. Keep reading, because you won’t want to miss this spot!
A Flower-Filled Dream
It sounds crazy, but I’ve lived in Sanur forever and only just discovered this place in 2025! I’d passed it a hundred times, but it never looked like a coffee shop from the outside. That’s because Café Bloom started as, and is still part of, a beautiful florist called The Bali Florist.

When you walk inside, you are instantly greeted by the sweet scent of blooms. You are literally surrounded by flowers, making the beautiful interior feel like a calming living room of a character from a movie. There are plenty of cozy seats for gathering with friends, finding some me-time, or getting things done. The atmosphere is so warm, it truly makes you feel at home.
Inside the main café, the counter area is great for a quick laptop check or me-time, while the sofa areas are dedicated to those who prefer conversation and connection over gadgets.

The Fuel: Locally Sourced & Made with Love
Mentioning the vibe is not enough; we have to talk about the fuel! Their food and drinks are genuinely amazing. While I might not be a certified expert, I know what good coffee tastes like, and theirs is easily one of the best in Sanur. I always kickstart my day with their hot cappuccino (make mine a double shot, please!) whenever I visit.
Commitment to Sustainability
That great coffee taste comes from their great goals. Café Bloom is deeply committed to sustainability, using only 100% Indonesian coffee beans by working with local roasters and supporting Indonesian coffee farmers and eco-friendly practices.

They Don’t Forget Tea Lovers
Can’t handle the caffeine? No problem! They’ve got you covered with a wide range of incredible tea selections. Discover the natural essence of Bali with Made Tea (pronounced ma-day), herbal blends made from 100% natural ingredients grown in Ubud. Every thoughtful cup helps support local farmers and encourages you to appreciate the moment. If you love what you taste, you can even buy the blend to take home!

Practice Mindfulness with Digital Detox Wednesdays
Living in our modern, digital era, we’re all glued to our phones almost 24/7. That’s why Café Bloom has this sacred and highly unique ritual every Wednesday: Digital Detox Wednesdays.

BloomWerk: Your Remote Work Office
Now, for my fellow digital nomads, or even just anyone who needs to check in with the office while on the road, I have a super helpful insider tip:
Café Bloom has a brilliant, adjacent sister space called BloomWerk. This dedicated work haven, which only opened in February 2024, is the answer to your remote work prayers. While the main cafe is perfect for a quick email session at the counter, especially with those gorgeous floral views, BloomWerk is designed for deep-focus productivity. We’re talking ergonomic seating, a noticeably quieter atmosphere, and the perfect setup for those long, focused work sessions. It’s the ultimate balance for the adventurous traveler!

Speaking of the team, the incredible Bloom family is also on the lookout for a passionate new barista to join their crew! If you’re reading this in Bali and you (or someone you know) is ready to whip up amazing 100% Indonesian coffee in this flower-filled sanctuary, this is your sign!
Before You Visit
Before you rush over, here are the essential details to help you plan your visit to this place:
Location: Jl. Danau Toba No. 12, Sanur (Keep an eye out for The Bali Florist!)
Café Bloom (Main Area) Hours: Open Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
BloomWerk (The Workspace) Hours: (Remember, this is temporarily closed!) When operational, they open later in the morning: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
A Gentle Reminder: Both the café and BloomWerk are closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly!
That’s a wrap! This is my first writing (blog post) ever since ages as I’m on a mission to revive this long-sleep blog. Personally, I think Café Bloom is a place worth visiting. It’s a heartwarming stop on your Bali adventure: a peaceful, beautiful home away from home right in the heart of Sanur. Go visit, smell the blooms, and let me know what you think of that incredible Bloom Blend!
