Poinsettias, or locally known as Kastuba plants, are a classic symbol of Christmas found in homes, churches, and offices across the Americas and Europe. In Bali, these vibrant shrubs grow naturally in the cooler climates of the Bedugul area and Central Java.
The plant’s Christmas association began in 16th-century Mexico, with a legend of a girl named Pepita (or María), who, too poor to offer a gift for Jesus’ birthday, was guided by an angel to gather weeds from the roadside. When placed at the church altar, the weeds bloomed into the beautiful red poinsettias we know today.

- Size: 40-60 cm tall
- Origin: Central Java or Central Bali
- Packaging: All Kastuba plants come in a standard plastic pot, with a pot-plate and a canvas pot cover. The canvas design will vary based on available stock.
Due to high demand during the holiday season, please allow 3-4 days for pre-orders. We receive fresh shipments weekly from Central Bali and Java until 20 December.
