Celebrating Our Partnership with Bali Sama Sama

Some of the nicest partnerships begin in the most unexpected ways.

I first met the passionate individual behind Bali Sama Sama at our little coffee shop, Café Bloom Bali, which sits beside The Bali Florist. She soon became one of our regulars, and before long, we became friends. It was the period just after the pandemic, when many of us were rediscovering the simple joy of sitting in cafés, meeting new people, and beginning fresh chapters.

Over countless cups of coffee, she shared her dream of starting a company with a group of passionate investors. Together, they envisioned transforming discarded glass into beautiful handmade pieces while producing natural, chemical-free candles scented only with pure essential oils. Before long, that dream became Bali Sama Sama.

When they officially launched in 2021, we were honoured to become their very first retail partner. It felt like a natural fit. We have always believed that beautiful things should also have meaning—whether it's a bouquet that brightens someone's day or a handcrafted vase that gives a forgotten bottle a second life.

Today, we're proud to continue showcasing Bali Sama Sama's collection in both our florist and on our website. Their talented artisans transform discarded glass bottles into elegant drinking glasses, vases, candle holders, jugs, and decorative pieces. Because every item is handcrafted from reclaimed glass, no two are ever exactly alike, and that's part of their charm.

What we admire most, however, is the philosophy behind the brand. Every piece represents an opportunity to give discarded materials a second life while supporting skilled local artisans here in Bali. It's a beautiful reminder that sustainability doesn't always require grand gestures. Sometimes it begins with choosing products that are thoughtfully made, built to last, and created with respect for both people and the environment.

Looking back, it's wonderful to think that a chance meeting over coffee blossomed into a friendship and a partnership that has now flourished for five years. We feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of Bali Sama Sama's journey from the very beginning, and even more grateful that we can continue sharing their beautiful creations with our customers.
